Emily backs British Heart Foundation campaign

Emily Thornberry has joined forces with the British Heart Foundation (BHF) to promote a series of cycle events taking place throughout June as part of the charity's annual ‘Help a Heart Week'.

Emily, who cycles to work in Westminster from her home in Islington, met members of the BHF to lend her support to their campaign. The charity is hoping to promote cycling as a means of exercise and to raise funds for their work in tackling heart disease.

Emily said:

"Cycling is already very popular in Islington and I am not alone in cycling to work. I want to encourage more people to cycle and I am glad to be supporting the British Heart Foundation's vital work in tackling heart disease."
